Koani is owned by Diana  and Santa in Florida.  This beautiful girl was intended just as a wonderful pet.  However, because she has such special owners, they decided she had more potential than to just sit around and look pretty.  Diana and Koani have worked very hard training for the obedience ring and all that training paid off - she got her very first leg AKC at her very first show and is now titled in the World Wide Kennel Club's Rally Obedience with a leg toward her advanced title. She is ranked #11 for obedience (per the Winter Malamute Quartery 2002).   Also, she's now a "celebrity" - a nice article Diana wrote for Front and Finish magazine featured Koani in the "rare breed" section. You don't see many Malamutes in the obedience ring. (article below) - especially handled by novices. Also, there is a funny and interesting story with her advanced Rally title - check it out here.
