Back to the Future...The Foundation Dogs

Penny and Homer were our first Malamutes - but many came before. Their look and personalities are based on years of careful line breeding and can be traced back to the original Malamutes brought out of Alaska. Penny's pedigree goes back to the original dogs very fast - 12 generations to unknown. It's a classic line bred pedigree and includes many of the top dogs of the time. For my sanity and to avoid repetition bolded names appear extended elsewhere in the pedigree. The names with *** are the portions that are extended. Enjoy this little bit of Malamute history.... A photo is available below for the names in blue. I did Penny & Homer's mainy because all our dogs go back to them eventually.

Usually kennel names come first, however, in the older dogs it may be last as well, such as in North Wind or Husky Pak.
