Chevy

Nicknames: Monster Puppy, Earboy, Mudpuppy
AKC Name: none yet
Chevy is all grown up now and still sweet as can be. The other adult males like to throw a fuss as he goes by - but Chevy is totally clueless and can't fathom that they might not like him. He thinks the world is a wonderful place and he loves everyone and everything in it. We bought Chevy from another breeder to suppliement our breeding program, but he developed epilepsy and thyroid problems, so will never be shown or bred. Gracie and Pod are his pack. The epileptic seizures caused some damage and though he's still "Chevy" he's not 100%. It has affected his eyes, balance and sometimes he gets very confused. He has the most loving personality regardless, is happy no matter what life throws at him, and has not a speck of agression. He is quiet and content to just do whatever everyone else is doing - his pen and Pod are his security. He's not demanding or pushy at all but is full of love and enthusiasm - unleashed! He has two speeds, resting and full speed! He has even decided it must be a requirement to "yell" for his dinner. (it isn't, but they all have to howl and carry on so he thinks he has to as well). Pod is his best friend - she plays so gently with him and is his co-conspirator in mud. She refuses to go out without him. When they are outside, she hunts while Chevy either follows her around or goes back to the porch to wait. She also is his epilepsy alert dog and warns us when one is happening or imminent. He used to be friends with Riggs, but now that they are both grown up Riggs has decided he's the big guy and Chevy (who is clueless) just MAY be a threat. Hoover agrees. His heart just breaks (and so does ours) when Dan takes Gracie to dog class. Until the epilepsy he got to go too and loved it...
Thanks again Laural, in spite of his unanticipated problems, he really is a special guy!
